Dear Betsy Byars,

I read Summer of the Swans. This book inspired me because it really made me think that if you have a mentally handicapped kid or adult you should spend time with them because you never know what can happen they can get lost just like your character Charlie. What made you want to write this book? Can you give me some tips on writing? What other books have you wrote? I hope you write back.
