Dear Sara Pennypacker,

I read your book Clementine.   I really liked the way Clementine tried to be a friend to EVERYONE.  In the book, Clementine helped Margaret cut her hair when it had glue in it.  Of course that got Clementine a visit to the principal's office.  Everyone was making fun of Margaret's spiked hair so Clementine cut her own curly hair so that Margaret wouldn't be the only one with bad hair.  I think that is an example of being a caring friend. 

I admire Clementine for trying to help people all the time (even if it didn't seem like she was helping).   I feel like Clementine because I try to help my friends when they are feeling sad but sometimes it doesn't help.   I stick up for my friends at school and at church but it doesn't work out all the time.  But I never give up trying just like Clementine.

Thanks for writing such an awesome book.   I have starting reading the other Clementine books.   I hope that you will write more stories.
