Dear Mildred Taylor,

I think you speak to kids because you teach several life lessons. The information you give are life lessons that you can use anywhere. To hear that it doesn’t matter what color you are or what race you are is really phenomenal.  You make the life lessons jump out at kids and you make the information clear so that the readers can use the message whether they are a kid or an adult.
